Seventh meeting of the College of Supervisors of the Orabank Group

The Banking Commission of the West African Monetary Union (CB-UMOA) organized, on October 14, 2021 by videoconference, in its capacity as the original Supervisory Authority, the seventh meeting of the College of Supervisors of ORAGROUP.

This meeting, which is part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Basel Committee for effective supervision of cross-border banking groups, was chaired by Mr. Adjoumani KOUAKOU, Deputy Secretary General of the Banking Commission of UMOA.

It brought together twenty-eight (28) participants representing in particular the four (4) Supervisors of the ORAGROUP holding company and its subsidiaries. These are the CB-UMOA, the Central African Banking Commission (COBAC), the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea and the Central Bank of Mauritania. The Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) also took part in the session.

The work mainly focused on the implementation of the recommendations from the sixth meeting, the activities and risk profiles of ORAGROUP and its subsidiaries, the summary of the main risks borne by ORAGROUP subsidiaries, the presentation by ORAGROUP managers on the group's strategy, its governance, its activities, the management of its main risks as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
